SmartOPD allows for the rapid recording of patient treatment details, generation of bills and prescriptions, and preparation of medical certificates. It also enables the creation of daily appointment lists, with separate appointment scheduling for each doctor in a polyclinic setting. The software helps doctors maintain comprehensive patient records, including names, phone numbers, addresses, and medical histories, which are readily accessible for quick review during consultations. Functional coverage includes appointments, patient registration, consultations, prescriptions, outpatient billing, medicine billing, case summaries, medical certificates, day care/minor OT, service rate master, prescription medicine master, Form 3C register, OPD revenue statements, and medicine sales statements. SmartOPD is compatible with Windows OS (10/8 and variants) and offers lifetime use with no annual fees and a single-device license. It supports multiple internal users on the same PC, features menu-driven backups, and requires no IT staff for installation. The software is easy to install and comes with Getting Started and Usage Videos for user guidance. Note that SmartOPD does not include features for inpatient registration and billing, discharge summaries, OT records, doctor’s notes, or medication charts, making it unsuitable for hospitals and nursing homes with inpatient services.
